Los-Angeles-Birthday-Celebration-Slider

This year is the 235th Anniversary of the founding of Los Angeles. Each year there is a re-enactment of the nine mile walk from San Gabriel Mission (428 S Mission Dr, San Gabriel) to El Pueblo de Los Angeles (125 Paseo De La Plaza, Los Angeles).

Walkers can also join the procession at Lincoln Park (3401 Valley Blvd.) for a shorter 3-mile walk

This year the celebration will be on Saturday, August 27, 2016. The walk starts at the San Gabriel Mission at 6 AM. If you don’t want to walk, you can head over to Olvera Street and join the celebration from 9 AM to 1 PM. There will be Los Pobladores historic re-enactments, music, exhibits, and lots of birthday cake!

Event is free and open to the public. Check the El Pueblo events page for this and other event information.
