For anyone who is familiar with “Picture This!” they know it is LA’s only live animated comedy show. Tickets are usually about $10 per person, but this Saturday, October 1st, they are hosting a free show!
Show takes place at The Virgil, 4519 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles. Doors at 7:30 PM and show begins at 8 PM.

The Big Draw LA is a live community art event. There will be a variety of all twelve drawing projects, ranging from animation to printmaking to drawing costumed models. Anyone can come and participate, no matter their skill level.
The event is at Grand Park in Downtown LA, which is behind City Hall and easily accessible from the Metrolink. It goes from 11 AM to 4 PM, on Sunday, October 2, 2016
The event is free and open to the public, with Ryman Arts students providing the supplies. This is a unique and fun community event for our area. See their website for more information.
LA Greek Fest is one of the biggest Greek food and music festivals in the area. There will be live music and dance performances all three days. Authentic Greek food and beverages will also be available for purchase, for about $3 to $12 per serving.

Festival is located at the Saint Sophia Cathedral, south of Koreatown.
General admission to the festival is $5, Seniors $3, and Children 12 and under Free.

This weekend, October 1st and 2nd, there will be a Chile Festival in San Fernando. There will be live music, dance competitions, an art pavilion, and more. Admission to the festival is free, and there will be food and beverage available for purchase.
The location is the 900 block of San Fernando Road, near the San Fernando Middle School. Festival starts at noon each day, and goes until about 10 PM.

Ozark Shorts in LA is a free monthly screening series of International Award-Winning Short Films. Since these are short films, this will be the only chance to see them (unless you know the filmmaker) because they will not receive a theatrical release. It’s a way to find some unique projects and hidden gems.
September’s screening will be on Sunday, the 25th starting at 5 PM. The location is The Other Door, 10437 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood. The event is free and open to the public.
There is a Facebook page for this event, but it doesn’t update very often. You can also find this event on Meetup if you want to connect with other film lovers who will be attending.
The City of Lancaster is bringing back their 8th Annual professional go-kart racing. This year the event will run from Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25th.
Street parties, live music, and car show are free to attend. Other activities or VIP access areas may require a ticket purchase. Classic car show is Saturday only. Street parties are Friday and Saturday, from 6 to 11 PM.

Head down to Venice on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 10 AM to 6 PM for the 32nd Annual Abbot Kinney Festival. There will be five stages of live music all day. There will also be art booths and vendors and activities for kids. Festival admission is free.
