A new exhibit will be unveiled on Friday, January 27, 2017 celebrating the 20th Anniversary of David Bowie’s visit to Mexico City in 1997. The exhibit is a collection of unique photographs as Bowie visited cultural landmarks throughout Mexico City.
The exhibit is at the Forest Lawn Museum in Glendale, and runs through June 15, 2017. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission and parking are free.

This Friday, November 18th from 5 PM to 9 PM, join the biggest holiday event to happen in Burbank in Magnolia Park.
Magnolia Boulevard will be closed from Hollywood Way to Florence Street, stretching eight blocks and three parking lots! Enjoy a vintage car show, a SNOW play area, live music, carolers, balloon twisting, a holiday boutique and photo opportunities with Santa & Mrs. Claus. There will also be live performances from local school cheer teams, choirs, and a performance by Garri Dance Studio.
Community organizations and Magnolia Park businesses will have tables in the street. It’s a good way to meet your neighbors. And food trucks will be available to purchase food.

The Pacific Theatre Winnetka in Chatsworth will be showing free movies Thursday, November 3rd, all day long. Tickets will be available on that day, for purchase at the theatre only (no online purchases). Tickets are available first come, first serve and limit two per person. No details were given about exact showtimes or film titles.
That same weekend, from Friday, November 4th through Sunday, November 6th there will be a few select screenings of Doctor Strange and Trolls that are also free. Showtimes are not listed.
Throughout the weekend, there will also be giveaways, prizes, and a B.Y.O.B. – “Bring Your Own Bucket” and receive a free fill-up of popcorn deal.

Boney Island is a family-friendly, non-profit, Halloween fun house that has become a Sherman Oaks tradition. It is always free, and fun for all ages. The centerpiece attraction is a glowing ultraviolet water fountain show that takes place every 15 minutes.
The fun materializes nightly at the end of October, from 6 PM to 9 PM Sundays through Thursdays and 6 PM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The address is 4602 Morse Avenue, Sherman Oaks.

On Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10 AM to 5 PM there is a Halloween Family Faire for all ages in Woodland Hills. Admission and parking are both free. There will be free entertainment and activities, including a kids costume parade and free bike repair.
There will also be several games and activities where you need to buy a ticket, including face painting, pumpkin decorating, and carnival style games. Tickets are $1 each or 25 for $20. For a family, that could break down to just a few dollars per person.

Tierra del Sol is a non-profit in the Sunland-Tujunga area that works with disabled individuals. Their Fall Festival is an annual community event that is also a fundraiser for the organization. Admission is just $5, and children 12 and under are free.
There will be activities and entertainment for all ages including a pumpkin patch and live music. The festival is Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
