Summer Night Lights is a program from Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office, and the GRYD Foundation, to provide family-friendly sports, food, and activities in Los Angeles for free during the summer.
Last year, SNL attendance was about 780 people per park, per night and almost half a million meals were served. LA Laker Girls held dance classes. There were also free Zumba classes, art workshops, health screenings, and sports clinics featuring the LA Kings and LA Galaxy.
This year 32 sites throughout Los Angeles will participate, keeping recreation centers and parks open between the hours of 7 pm – 11 pm throughout the summer months.
